Easter in St. George....Again

I think the West side of the family has started a tradition. Once again, my father has invited us to go down to his place in St. George for Easter. Ryan's family and our family was their along with my Dad and Kathryn. It was so nice to just get away. Gavin had so much fun. The first day we were there my Dad took us out for a ride in the Jeep. We went and saw an old fort and some dinosaur tracks. We even stopped and let Gavin shoot a gun at some cans (with the help of Grandpa). Gavin is so funny, he loves cactusus and has to point them all out. But when I ask him to stand next to one for a picture he was to scared of getting stabbed by it. That boy never fails to make me laugh. Here he is at the Fort....

Grandpa West even had one of those water trampolines that you put out on a lake, he blow it up and put it in the back yard for the little ones to jump on. Gavin and Portia had a blast jumping on it and throwing balls at everyone.

On another day we went for a hike. Gavin had a blast hanging out with Portia and Brett. There was even a stream that we had to cross. Johnathan was crazy and just walked through the stream without a care in the world. Everyone else used the stepping stones.
Everyone had a blast. We played in the hot tub, and had an Easter egg hunt in the backyard. The weekend just wasn't long enough. Let's hope that next year we will be able to go again. We are so thankful for everything that my Dad does for us. Gavin sure loves going down to his place in St. George.

Maps

Gavin loves Maps. Every time he sees one he has to open it and study it. Even if it is a map of a place he doesn't even know. Johnathan came up with a good idea of getting Gavin a map of Utah and circle the places that he knows. So I gave him my old Utah map that I have had in my car for years. I circled Provo, Eagle Mountain, Santaquin, Bear Lake, and St. George. We hung it up in his room so that he can learn Utah and the places he goes to all the time. He loved it! He loves to find the roads and see where it takes him. Every little symbol on the map he had to ask me what it meant. My little boy is getting so big, and it is so fun to watch him want to learn and be so curious about stuff. I love it, I'm a proud Mama!

Snow Day!!!

Just when we thought spring was here, the wonderful weather of Utah brought us snow. Last weekend there was snow all over the ground. Gavin wanted to play in the snow so bad, so Johnathan went out and bought a sled for the first time. We went to the park down the street from our house and went sledding. It was Gavin's first time ever going sledding. He loved it. I froze, but it was worth seeing the smile on Gavin's face. Johnathan even went sledding with him a few times. Gavin mostly wanted to do it by himself. I forgot the camera, but I did have my phone with me. Here are a few pictures of our wonderful snow day. Sorry they aren't the best pictures, I did take them with my phone.

St. George in January

Last month we went to St. George for the weekend. It was so nice to just get away for a few days. It had been a year since we last went down. The weather was beautiful. If was 60 degrees down there. It didn't feel like winter at all. Gavin had a blast. Grandma and Grandpa West was down there. Gavin loved playing with them and his cousin Tegan. We even went over to Dixie rock for a day. Gavin loves climbing all the rocks there.

Welcome Back to the Penberthy Family

Ok, for the 1 or 2 people that actually read my blogs we had to move. The blog that we had before was just having way too many problems. I would say that 60% of the time it didn't work. I was tired of it and decided to take matters into my own hands. Before Johnathan had more control over the blog than I did. Which was weird because I was the only one that posted stuff. Anyways, I decided to move our blog to Blogger. I wanted a blogging site that I could rely on and know that it works. So welcome to our new blog. I did start this blog almost a year ago (Johnathan didn't like it so we switched to a different bloggin spot) and now I am back to it. Unfortunatly all the blogs I did on our old site I no longer have. But, it is a new year and I am going to start off fresh. I will try to post more often, especially pictures because I know everybody loves them. I love to see other peoples blogs as well. So if you have a blog and you don't mind me snopping around on it please send my the link so I can go visit it. Goodbye!
